Batman: The Second Season: Part Two DVD Set Review

The second half the the second season of Batman: The Television Series is coming to DVD in July with classic episodes and guest stars that include Maurice Evans, Micael Rennie, David Wayne, Leslie Gore, Carolyn Jones, Van Williams, Bruce Lee, Roger C. Carmel, Victor Bueno, Tallulah Bankhead, Eli Wallach as well as John Astin as The Riddler and Cesar Romero, Burgess Meredith, and Julie Newmar returning as The Joker, Penguin and Catwoman respectively. All of the episodes look spot on in their original (1.33:1) television broadcast aspect ratio with English and Portuguese Language Dolby Digital Mono Soundtracks and English Subtitles for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired as well as French, Spanish and Portuguese Language Subtitles encoded onto all three discs as options. 

All three-discs containing the second half of season 2 are enclosed within a standard DVD keep case with a cardboard slipcase and there is an insert contains information on all the included episodes. The menus are standard interactive still frames that are easy to navigate. Among the  highlights in this DVD set is the two-parter featuring The Green Hornet (Van Williams) and Kato (Bruce Lee), which served as a means of creating a spinoff from Batman.

Batman: The Second Season: Part Two will debut on DVD-Video at retailers on and offline Tuesday, July 14, 2015 courtesy of Warner Brother Home Entertainment.
