GenreOnline.net's Personal Picks For Genre TV for the Fall of 2016.

The nature of the fall television premiere has changed greatly since I was a kid. Back then cable was something you had to live in Manhattan or Upstate NY to subscribe to and it was in it's infancy. VCRs were these huge bohemith monstrosities that resembled giant tape recorders. A big screen TV was literally a piece of furniture. Some featured built in radios and record players too. A twenty five in tube was large. Things changed rapidly through the 1980s with the falling prices of VCRs and larger tube sets as well as rear projection and front projection sets becoming the forerunner to the home theaters we now see with movie theater like projection set ups popping up in homes and cable became mainstream in the late 1980s followed eventually by the great game changer, streaming television, over the air DVRs that charge no subscription fee and include streaming options as well as smart televisions and media players giving viewers so much choice that I highly recommend being q cord cutter and sticking with video on demand services rather than devoting your most precious commodity, time, to trying to watch everything during the live broadcast. Only shows of the quality of Game of Thrones deserve that special attention.

Now this is a subjective list based on my personal interest and tastes. So it is not complete. However there are other guides online you can use in conjunction with this one that should be easy to find using your preferred search engine.

Already having premiered at the time of this writing is Fear The Walking Deas on AMC. You can also purchase a season pass to view this and select other series on services like iTunes, Roku, Amazon Prime, Vudu and Google Play to name a few. So while I will list networks next to premiering and returning shows, there may be alternatives to viewing them elsewhere. So let's get started.
